In the age of AI, childhood needs more humanity - not less.
I help educators, organizations and families create learning experiences that protect what matters most in childhood: creativity, curiosity, play, connection and wonder.

"I have had the privilege of working with Alana to transform spaces in our school and through professional learning opportunities. Her dedication to creating spaces that inspire learning comes from her view of children as creative, capable and inquiring. Alanaās experience as a classroom teacher, knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices combined with her ability to create beautiful spaces inspires and teaches all who she has worked with at our school. After every session with Alana the teachers at our school have adjusted their environments to create spaces that inspire engaged learning. We couldn't have done it without her!"
Iām Alana Chernecki, M.Ed. - arts educator, curriculum designer, speaker, facilitator and founder of Artful Teaching. Joyful Learning.Ā®
For more than two decades, Iāve been fascinated by one question: What makes learning come alive?
Iāve written provincial Arts curriculum, taught future teachers at the University of Manitoba, led action research, worked alongside educators and school systems, and facilitated professional learning across Canada and internationally. My work has also reached thousands of educators and families through online programs, media appearances and learning communities.
Beneath every title is a simpler purpose: I want children to experience an education that feels deeply human - one filled with beauty, wonder, serious attention to their ideas, and room for creativity, movement, experimentation, conversation and play.
